Winter break is officially over, leaving me a little bit sad. Tomorrow when my alarm goes off at 6 am it's most definitely going to be very, very hard to pull myself out of my cozy bed. The one thing that I will be loving about this week is that I will have new clothes to wear from my Christmas gifts. New clothes always spice up my mornings!
The one thing that will get me through the upcoming long stretch of Michigan winter is the thought of warm weather. I came to the realization today that I absolutely detest cold weather, and that I should be going to college somewhere warm. Two hours later, my application to the University of San Diego was submitted. It was somewhat of a rash decision, but my new year's resolution is to step out of my box more, and going to school in San Diego would definitely be considered stepping way out of my box. Although I probably won't end up going there, the option of relaxing on the warm southern California beaches will get me through the winter.
That, and the fact that there are 103 days until my spring break trip to Dominican Republic, not that I'm counting or anything. Stores already have spring clothes out, and I can't wait to buy them all! I am going to want to buy a new swim suit before my trip, something fun and floral like this, along with some sundresses such as this. I have been wanting to buy myself a pair of TOMS shoes, so perhaps I might buy these, because they would be perfect for my trip, and also for just wearing to school. Either way, I am in desperate need of some warmth in my life, and the 103 days until spring break can't pass by fast enough!
